The Oyo State Fire Service has pulled a 27-year-old man alive from a well in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

The agency disclosed this in a statement by its Chairman, Maroof Akinwande, and made it available to Newslodge on Tuesday.

Akinwande said the agency received a distress call on Monday indicating that someone had fallen into a deep well.

He said the incident occurred at Ire Akari, Adeniran area of ​​Ogbomoso, noting that the rescued individual was handed over to the police.

He said: “On Monday, December 1, 2025, at exactly 7:00 a.m., we were summoned because someone fell into a well at Ire Akari, Adeniran area, Ogbomoso.

“On arrival at the scene, it was discovered that a man aged about 27 years, named Alagbe Gbemisoye, fell into a deep well, he was recovered and handed over to the DPO, Owode Police Station.
