The Bauchi State Police command arrested seven suspects after a violent clash between commercial motorcyclists and transport officials in the state capital.

Witnesses said the problems began when a group of motorcycle operators had an altercation with vehicle inspection officers (VIOS). The dispute intensified quickly when the riders mobilized and marched to the office of the Barota State Transport Agency (Barota) of Bauchi, as well as the Vio office, where the property was supposedly vanished.
“Four vehicle windshields at the Barota office were destroyed, while the rear glass door of a blue Toyota Corolla, with the registration number TRR-770 AA, belonging to a 49-year-old man identified as twelve of June, broke near the Vio office,” said one of the sources.
Police agents immediately deployed in the affected places, where they dispersed the mafia and arrested seven suspects linked to violence.
