The Niger state police command has arrested two suspects in the brightest area of Minna, the state capital, for allegedly stealing a 35 ″ plasma TV, a remote control and two aluminum pots.
The public relations officer of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, announced this in a statement in Minna.
According to him, the suspects supposedly broke into a house through a window and stole a 35 ″ plasma television, a remote control and two aluminum pots, which hid in bags of bags.
The two suspects, identified as Musa Audu, 43, and Abdullahi Garba, 45, are residents of the Kwangila area in Minna.
He revealed that they were arrested with the help of community members and that they are currently under investigation.
They are being investigated in the Chanchaga division and will be prosecuted in the Court for prosecution as soon as possible.
In a related operation, Abiodun revealed that the police also recovered 50 stolen sheep in Kontagora, and a Danrani Usman, 32, from the Gengi village through Ibeto in the area of the Local Government of Magama, was arrested with stolen animals.
“On April 27, 2025, at approximately 9 am, police officers attached to the 'B' Kontagora division with members of Danrani Usman vigilantes with suspected 50 stolen sheep,” police spokesman said.
He explained that the sheep were taken from the yangalu village through the local government area of Magama.
In addition, he declared that the suspect confessed to work with another individual, called Isah, who is currently in general.
Police are working to stop the second suspect.
