A worker named Yahaya Ibrahim lost his life at KAM Steel Integrated Company. This sad event happened when he slipped and fell under a big roller machine at the company’s factory on the Sagamu-Ogijo road in Ogun State.
Reports say the accident took place around 4:50 am on a Sunday while Yahaya was working. The big roller machine crushed him, and even though other workers tried hard to save him, they couldn’t.
Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police, confirmed what happened. She said, “Our traffic officers went to the factory right after we got an emergency call. It was an industrial accident.” She also mentioned that Yahaya’s body is now at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital morgue in Sagamu.
