The Ondo State Police command operations have arrested three people for the death of a commercial sex worker in a brothel in Akure.
One of the suspects had sought the services of the deceased, but demanded a reimbursement of his N15,000 after the alleged failure of the sex worker to satisfy his desire.
According to the Public Relations officer in the State, Olayinka Ayanlade, the incident occurred over the weekend in a popular brothel in the Akure Cathedral area, the capital of the state of Ondo.
Ayanlade declared that during a sexual activity with one of the suspects, the sex worker complained about tiredness, which enraged the client. This later became an altercation heated between the brothel manager, the deceased and the suspect, as well as friends who had invited to help recover the money initially paid by the services.
Police spokesman said: “At approximately 10 am on June 29, the Bordel Manager informed the station under the jurisdiction of a division that there had been a violent altercation between a sexual worker and a male client that morning.
“The Police acted quickly and professionally; while the victim was urgently taken to a nearby hospital in the Lafe area, the officers in the scene simultaneously affected the arrest of three suspects involved in the incident. The victim was later referred to the police hospital in Akure, but, unfortunately, he was declared dead by a Medicine Officer. His body was deposited in the state hospital for the state Autopsy
