Who will make sure of the victory tomorrow?

As the anticipation for the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCAS) accumulates, Showmax is firmly in the mixture with three outstanding Nigerian originals that ensure eight nominations in six categories.

Known for constantly investing in the narration of African stories, Showmax returns to the AMVCA stage this year with a strong performance. But the question in everyone's mind is still: which of these titles will take home a victory?

One of Showmax's most recognized tickets this year is 'Princess on a hill'. The drama obtained nominations in the main categories, including 'Best series with script', 'Best writing in a television series' and multiple nods of action. Bimbo Manuel assured the nominations for 'Best main actor', while Efa Iwara is in the race for 'Best Support Actor'. The series follows Zara Osara, a reality show winner who suddenly is in front of a powerful corporation, navigating influence, ambition and hidden agendas. With his acute writing and his high -risk narrative, Princess On a Hill has positioned himself as a strong AMVCA contender.

Another original nominated showmax Nigerian, 'Cheta M', has been praised for his nuanced narration and emotional depth. Nominated for both the 'best scripted series and for the' best writing 'for IFEANYI Barbara Chidi, the series joins identity and generational legacy in a way that feels intimately and universally identifiable, and its writing force can give it an advantage with the judges.

In the front without script, 'Style Magnate' represents the genre of lifestyle with a nomination for the 'best series without script'. With its vibrant version of fashion, culture and personality, the show brings a different energy to this year's alignment, one that reflects the growing showmax approach in the varied gender programming.

These nominations arrive at a time when transmission platforms are gaining greater recognition in award spaces traditionally dominated by linear television. Although Showmax is not the only digital platform first on the list of nominees of this year, its presence in the main categories speaks of a larger trend, one in which the public and the judges are adopting the transmission originals as serious creative contestants.

Whether the emotional drama of 'Cheta M', the high -risk family tension in 'Princess on a hill', or the cultural touch of 'style magnate', each title tells an unique African story, and each has won their place at the Center of Care of AMVCA.
