Oshodi, a magistrates court sitting in Boade, ordered the preventive detention of 34 people to allegedly participate in the illegal street along the median of the Alaba Rago section -theojo of the Lagos -Badagry highway.
The suspects, which comprise 32 men and 2 women, were arrested during the weekend during a joint application exercise carried out by officials of the kick against indiscipline, the task force of Kai and the Waste Management Authority Lagos, Lawma.
The operation is part of a broader initiative by the Government of the State of Lagos to dismantle illegal structures and restore the order of public spaces invaded by merchants and improvised settlements.
The authorities reported that several of the detainees resided in unauthorized shelters erected in the median road, some of which were supposedly used as hiding places for criminal activities.
The arrest persons include ibrahim abu, Isiaka Ashafa, Shaibu Isa, Abubakar Haraun Adebayo, Igudu Ibrahim, Awalu Umar, Sani Babanid Yufim, Yufes, Yufes, Yufes, Yufes, Yuhim, Yuhim, Yuhim, Yuhim, Yuhim, Yuf Abdullahi Musa, Fadipe Bose and Ebere Ndubuisi.
All suspects must remain in custody until July 22, when the matter will return to court to obtain more procedures.
