Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola has called for greater dedication to the unity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from party members and stakeholders in the state, reiterating his commitment to the party’s growth and influence. sustained in the state and even beyond.

In a statement made available by Information and Civic Orientation Commissioner Funke Egbemode at the end of the week’s State Executive Council meeting, Oyetola said that only commitment to the party will ensure its growth in both numbers and influence.

Oyetola also praised party members in the state’s 332 districts for the peaceful and well-coordinated party district congress last Saturday.

Governor Oyetola spoke at the State Executive Council meeting on Monday. He also extended an olive branch to aggrieved members within the party.

The governor called on all members to adopt the spirit of reconciliation, dialogue and cooperation in the general interest of the party.

“The Congress of All Progressives, especially in Osun state, has a reputation for well-coordinated departures, and last Saturday’s neighborhood congress credited the party’s reputation.

“I must commend the important contributions of party members and stakeholders to the peaceful process on Saturday, especially the state party chairman and his team, members of the State Executive Council, party leaders and a number of other actors. critics.

“I congratulate the new executives at the district level and ask them to be magnanimous in victory. In the interests of our great party, I ask you to work for the party so that it can continue to deliver its progressive ideals to the citizens.

“I am committed to the unity, stability and progress of the Congress of All Progressives in the state of Osun, and I believe that these ideals must be paramount for any faithful party, and above all personal interest.

“I strongly believe that what we need right now is to be constructive rather than destructive. Violence in any form is unnecessary and we must avoid it in Osun. I commend all stakeholders for making sure our state recorded no casualties on Saturday. That is the path we must follow because the lives lost cannot be recovered. ”

“I implore us to embrace peace and unity and I am confident that the Congress of All Progressives will continue to grow and prosper,” said Oyetola.
