Along the same lines, the police officers attached to the Enugu State Command carried out an operation coordinated in the Uvuru-Ukpata forest in Uzo-Uwani LGA, after the kidnapping of travelers along Olo-Ulo-Emulokpa Road.
“When collecting the path, the agents hired the kidnappers in a fierce duel of weapons, defeated them and successfully rescued 9 kidnapped victims.
“Before this, police officers had previously rescued two men in a forest in Amalla-Egazi after they were kidnapped on May 16, 2025 in the community of Ezimo. The rescued victims have met with their families,” said the police.
“Similarly, on May 23, 2025, police officers attached to the Enugu State Command, who work in collaboration with local security outfits, on the road to a kidnapper gang, assaulted a forest along the border of Enugu-Kogi. During the operation, there was a shooting, where one of the kidnappers was neutralized and other gigs of the unexpected of firearms.
