At least five people have been killed and many others kidnapped after separate attacks from bandits in the states of Zamfara and Sokoto.
Security analyst, Bakatsine shared details of the attacks in an X post on Monday.
According to the post, the attacks occurred in three different communities in 24 hours.
In the community of Damri, the area of the local government of Bakura (LGA) of Zamfara, the bandits injured two people but left without kidnapping anyone.
However, in another attack on Monday morning, the bandits broke into the community of Birnin Tsaba in Zurmi Lga de Zamfara, where they killed two people, stole valuable articles and won cattle.
On Sunday night, a more deadly attack took place in the Dabagi community, Dnge-Shuni LGA of the state of Sokoto. The bandits killed three people and kidnapped an unknown number of residents, both men and women.
“Yesterday night, the bandits attacked the Dabagi community in Dnge-Shuni Lga, state of Sokoto. They killed three people and kidnapped an un specified number of people both men and women during the attack,” Bakatsine wrote.
The authorities have not yet published an official statement about the incident.
