The police in Ogun State have caught a 33-year-old man named Olayemi Olawale Shedrack. People think he might have hurt others and taken things from them in a place called Ijagun, which is in the Odogbolu area of the state.
This man, Olayemi, was caught because he might have been involved in some bad things at the Tai University of Education. There, some female students were hurt, and their belongings were taken.
A while ago, in July, some girls living in a place called Royal Villa near the Tai University were in trouble. Thieves came and took their things like laptops and money, and these girls were also harmed.
The police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, shared early on Monday with DAILY POST that they have arrested Olayemi. He was someone they had been looking for.
Odutola explained how they found Olayemi. They had gotten a report about him and saw him in a crowd, trying to hide.
She said, “Olayemi Olawale Shedrack was wanted by the police for doing bad things like robbery and hurting others.
“On July 21, 2024, he and some other people went into a place where girls lived near Tai University, taking their nice things like laptops, iPhones, and watches, and also took money. They harmed the girls too, which was really bad.”
“Someone tipped the police, saying they saw Olayemi hiding in the crowd in Ijagun. The police quickly acted and caught him.”
Now, the police want to learn more about this from Olayemi, so they will take him to a special place for more questioning.
The head of the police in the area, Commissioner Alamutu Abiodun, is asking people in Ijagun to share any helpful information they have to catch others involved in this incident.
